A spontaneous weekend getaway: fly directly from Schönhagen airfield to Westerland. You stay either at the Relais & Châteaux Landhaus Stricker in Tinnum or at Severin's Resort & Spa in Keitum. Two houses, two characters, the same short journey. On request you travel by private jet instead of the propeller aircraft; a rental car for exploring the island can be added. Schönhagen is only our suggestion: we depart just as readily from any other airfield or airport you choose, with the price following the flying time.

DAY 1

Flight to Sylt

Private plane (Piper M600) from Berlin/Schönhagen airfield to Westerland, flight time approx. 1 h 20 min, by private jet on request. Transfer to your house: Landhaus Stricker in Tinnum or Severin's Resort & Spa in Keitum.

DAY 2

Beach and spa

A walk along the beach or wellness in your hotel's spa: around 700 m² with indoor pool and barrel sauna at Landhaus Stricker, indoor pool, saunas and a gym at Severin's Resort & Spa.

DAY 3

Explore the island and return flight

Free time at your leisure, return flight to Schönhagen in the afternoon (approx. 1 h 20 min).

Setting

Tinnum lies in the middle of the island, minutes from Westerland airport and just as close to the west beach as to the Wadden Sea. A good base if you want to see a lot of Sylt in three days; Keitum with its Frisian houses and List in the north are both a short drive away.

The house

A thatched house with a quiet garden, a member of Relais & Châteaux since 2011. The building stays low and Frisian: white rendered walls, dark thatch, brick paths. It is a house of few rooms where the staff know the guests, not an operation with a reception hall.

Rooms & suites

Around 37 rooms and suites are spread across five categories, among them 21 suites and one Suite Royal. The interiors mix Frisian calm with contemporary furniture; many units have their own terrace onto the garden.

Dining

Holger Bodendorf's cooking has carried the house for years. BODENDORF'S is the gourmet address with its Michelin star, SIEBZEHN84 the more relaxed alternative under the same roof. Breakfast is served in the conservatory or in the garden.

Spa

The wellness area has a heated indoor pool, several saunas, a gym and a barrel sauna in the garden. Treatments can be booked on site; after a day on the windy west beach, that is the right counterweight.

Around the house

The west beach near Westerland is a few minutes away by car, and so is the Wadden Sea on the eastern side. Walks through the dunes, a guided mudflat hike or a trip up to the Ellenbogen in the north fill the free day. The house provides bicycles.

Keitum

Setting

Keitum on the eastern side of the island, the old captains' village with thatched roofs, Frisian walls and short paths to the Wadden Sea. The west beach and Westerland airport are a few minutes away.

The house

A cluster of thatched Frisian houses grouped around planted courtyards and gardens. Restrained and Frisian on the outside, bright and calm within.

Rooms

From boutique and superior rooms to suites and apartments with their own living area. The superior double room measures 38 m²; larger categories are available on request.

Spa

A generous spa with heated indoor pool, saunas, quiet zones and a gym. A beach chair is reserved for guests on the beach.

Price

In the 38 m² superior double room incl. breakfast: from €5,190 per person with the Piper M600 for two travellers. ENTRY & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

As of: 17 September 2026 – Sylt is a domestic trip: Germany is part of the Schengen Area and there are no border controls. A valid official photo ID, meaning an ID card or passport, is enough for the flight; do carry it, as passengers are registered by name on a private flight too. There are no compulsory vaccinations or health requirements. Your German statutory or private health insurance applies as it does at home, so travel health insurance is not needed. The island charges a visitor's levy, which your hotel settles together with the room.

How much luggage am I allowed to bring?

What happens if flight times change?

We inform you immediately by email as soon as we're notified of a change.

PAYMENT & PROTECTION

How much is the deposit?

As a rule, the deposit is 20% of the trip price. For peak-season dates it may be higher; this will be stated in the respective offer. For non-refundable special-fare flight tickets, the deposit may also be higher, as the ticket must be paid in full immediately.

When is the balance due?

As a rule, 30 days before departure. We'll point out any deviations already at the time of booking.

How do I pay for my trip?

Payment is conveniently made by bank transfer.

Is my trip protected by a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence)?

Yes. As a German tour operator we are legally obliged to protect your trip with a tour operator insolvency insurance (ATOL licence). Fly Unique has a contract with the R+V Versicherung. You will receive your insurance certificate automatically with your booking confirmation.

Do you recommend a travel cancellation insurance?

We generally recommend travel cancellation insurance and are happy to advise you on suitable options.

Are rebookings or cancellations possible?

When will I receive my travel documents?

You'll receive your booking confirmation immediately after booking, and the complete travel documents no later than two weeks before departure.

What travel documents do I need?

FOR PILOTS

I'd like to fly myself. What do I need?

Send us a copy of your pilot's license. We'll then support you with the license revalidation and inform you about all the documents required for it.

Which aircraft is right for my trip?

We're happy to advise you on the choice, whether for flying yourself, joining as a passenger, or a trip by private plane or private jet.

Do you assist with route planning and permits for pilot trips?

Yes, we're happy to handle route planning and support you with any permits that may be required.

Can allergies or dietary preferences be reported in advance?

I'm pregnant. Can I still travel?

In principle, traveling is possible with an uncomplicated pregnancy up to week 34/35; the second trimester (weeks 14 to 28) is considered ideal. The exact rules vary by airline: many require a medical certificate of fitness to fly from week 28 onward, and most airlines decline to carry passengers from week 36 onward. Feel free to reach out. We'll check individually for your airline and route how your desired trip can be arranged.
